When I was a kid my cousin convinced me that a picture I showed him in a book was a German gun that allowed them to shoot round corners. I thought at my young age of about 8 or so that this was awesome. Shooting round corners meant you could kill the enemy and not even be seen. How awesome!

I think back to this and realise that no such gun could ever really exist for a couple of reasons. 1. Bullets need a straight barrel. 2. How the hell do you see what you are shooting at? In the 1940's CCTV and LCD screens with mini digital cameras were not even a twinkle in someones eye. But just imagine if you could see round corners?

Wanting to see what is around the corner motivates many people, they do everything possible to find out and whether they like the result or not they feel they have achieved something.
